What it actually does
Two taps from Home
During the round, Photo on Home captures a proof-of-delivery shot. It is saved as a POD, not dumped into camera roll. You still complete whatever the courier’s own app asks for. This is your copy.
Filed with the van checks, by day
Proof of delivery lives on the same evidence screen as the van check. Filter the day or the week. When they name a date, you are not pinching through 2,000 similar doorsteps.
Time — and GPS if it locks
Each photo can carry a watermark: capture date and time, plus GPS if the phone gets a fix. No fix, the photo still saves. Watermarks can be turned off in settings.
A POD PDF for the period
Export a POD audit PDF for the selected day or week — same idea as the van-check export. Handy when the email asks for “all proof from Tuesday”, not one screenshot.
How it works
- Take their POD as usual. Scan, tap, photo — whatever the courier app wants. Then capture your copy in Rydealog from Photo on Home.
- It saves as a POD. Date, time, optional GPS on the watermark. Signed-in photos also sync to your private account storage so a reinstall does not wipe them.
- Find it, or export it. Evidence tab, pick the day or week, download a POD PDF if you need a file to send.
What’s free vs Pro
- Free — £0. Plan shifts, shift history.
- Monthly — £6.99. Cancel whenever you like.
- Yearly — £59.99. Works out at £5 a month. Saves you £23.89.
Booking shifts and your shift history are free. Pro unlocks earnings and costs, delivery tips, van checks, smart map scanning, shift mileage and delivery photos. No 7-day trial yet.
Honest limitations
- This does not replace the courier company’s proof flow. Skip their scan and you are still exposed.
- A dated photo helps a dispute. It does not guarantee the depot, courier or insurer will accept it or reverse a charge.
- Delivery photos are Pro and need a signed-in account. They upload to your private account storage — not shared with other drivers, and not visible to a courier company through Rydealog.
- GPS on the watermark is best-effort. If location fails, you still get the timestamp.
- iPhone only for now.
FAQs
Does this replace the courier company’s own POD?
No. Still do whatever scan or photo the courier app asks for. Rydealog keeps a copy for you, filed by shift, so you can find it if a deduction lands later.
Are POD photos free?
Shift planning and shift history stay free. Delivery photos are a Pro feature, at £6.99 a month or £59.99 a year. There is no free trial yet.
Can I export a POD PDF?
Yes. On the evidence screen, proof of delivery has its own day or week export. It builds a POD PDF from the photos in that period.
Will a photo in Rydealog stop a missing-parcel charge?
It gives you something dated to send. Time and optional GPS sit on the watermark. Acceptance is still the depot’s or the courier’s call. Records do not guarantee a dispute will succeed. If the charge already landed, read what to do about a missing-parcel deduction.
